I’m a environmental consultant actively working with clients who are branching out internationally. I’ve been studying different green building certifications—specifically LEED, BREEAM, DGNB, and WELL—to evaluate how they stack up against each other. What I find problematic is the overlapping scopes and the sometimes mixed messages in marketing materials, making it hard to accurately communicate to clients why they might pick one standard over another.
I came across this chart comparing the focus areas and criteria of several global certifications usgbc leed certification , which helped in part, but I’m still trying to highlight the key nuances and advantages of LEED especially in comparison to these other programs.
